Zero-Day Exploit

An attack on a computer or network which takes advantage of a security vulnerability on the same day that the flaw becomes generally known.

When given advanced warning by users who discover and report security flaws, a software company can repair and distribute a fix to users before malicious intent can occur on a large scale.

With Z-D exploit, however, attacks can occur before a fix is issued, putting many more computers at risk.
