Stealing data from wireless (wi-fi) transmissions.
Some “sniffers” drive around neighborhoods with special antenna and other equipment that intercept wi-fi transmissions with the goal of stealing personal information.
Other "sniffers" hang out in "hotspot" areas such as coffee houses, airports, and libraries to pick up your info.
