Media Player (MP)
Software which can decode and play music and video files.
If you put audio or video files on your Web site, visitors will need an MP to play them.
Most MPs are provided free by the major vendors and they are upgraded as technology advances. Unfortunately, not all players play all media formats.
Popular examples: Windows Media Player, Apple Quicktime Player, Apple iTunes, and Real Player.
