Jump Page
1) In Web advertising and marketing, a jump page is a Web page that appears temporarily to capture the user's attention for a promotion or a survey. A jump page can be a splash page with a Flash animation or a pop-up window with text and graphics. Generally, the user needs to close the jump page to make it disappear.2) In Web site maintenance, a jump page can be a page that comes up temporarily to redirect a visitor when that Web page's address has been changed.
3) In Web site design, a jump page is sometimes used to describe a Web page that provides a launching point for visitors, such as in a portal site or on the home page of a Web site which has many external links.
