The use of clickstream data to determine the effectiveness and efficiency of a Web site for e-commerce.

E-commerce analysis looks at how a shopper moves about a site, what pages and what products the shopper views, how the shopping cart is used, where a shopper stops shopping, what items the shopper purchases (average price and quantity), and the percentage of unique visitors who order a product or service (conversion ratio).
