Content

All the text and images presented on a Web page.

Content to be provided to Web site designers by site owners is called a client deliverable.

Content acquired from other sources is called OPC (Other People's Content), which can be "paid content" or "free content" by attribution.  Free content is sometimes called "copyleft".

High-value content (nearly anything useful other than ads) is ranked much higher in attracting repeat visitors to a Web site than fancy layout, attractive colors, or slick animations.

Ample, relevant content is esteemed by search engines and helps boost search rank. Providing fresh, useful content should be a high priority for nearly all Web sites.

When displaying text content on a Web page, it is important to break it up into small chunks for easier reading.
